Race Night
Great ways to raise money for a charity or club.
Is it legal? Yes. A Race Night falls under the Lotteries and Gaming Act. It is a game of chance, there is no skill involved.
You can play with real money.
Traditionally there are 8 races with 8 horses running in each race. Simply, those punters with the winning horse share all the money in the kitty.
We provide a 6’ by 4’ screen, all the tote tickets and the Race Night MC.
For commercial Race Nights, ie. Pubs and clubs we send out a ‘Sweepstake Card’ a few weeks before we arrive which can be sold and raises money towards the cost of the Race Night.
Any venue or organiser is entitled to take the cost of the Race Night from the monies bet on each race. Quite simply a well run Race Night will not cost the organisers any money at all. If a Race Night costs £160, you can take £20 from all the monies bet on each race to cover your costs. There are 8 races and 8 x £20 equals £160.
A Race Night can last from 30 minutes to 3 hours. The actual races last about 1 minute. The gaps in between each race varies depending on the number of people betting. Two hundred people will take longer to place bets than fifty.
We can provide extra races at no extra cost that can be auctioned off or sponsored to raise money for your cause.
Prices start from as little as £150.
